Photographic Memory?

Al said I have the gift of photographic memory. I wonder how deep true this is. He said that cos I can read maps and know how to put it to reality. He said I can draw out the venue plan just like that with 1 glance. Yeah. I can do that. Went into a house for first time, I can draw the whole house plan (not at scale of course) out.

Went to a restaurant, I know how to work things out. Draw the plan. Decide immediately what I can do for my event on that place. Yes. No. Stuff like that.

I can do that even on the first day I worked as an event organizer. Which impressed my then-manager. Hah.

I think I can memorize certain things. Just not words. Just not words.
Until today, I cant speak good grammar english language. I am still struggling to get words right. While speaking, sometimes I am lost in words. But when typing out like this, I can do it.

Yeah. I failed stewardess exam cos of public speaking. I remembered I was asked to speak for 5 minutes in front of 800 people and 10 judges. I remember me constructing what I wanted to say before my turn. But when I was on top, no matter what I wrote on the hand, my mind goes blank. Nothing come out from my mouth.

Maybe I have photographic memory.

I can replay chess position after 1 game last time. I can see what the author of the story book brings me to. green grass on top of the hill, a girl spreading her hands wide open, breeze sweeping across her face..flowers dancing together with her..stuff like that.
But I think this is not photographic memory. This is imagination.

I can remember practical stuff more than theorical. I never like reading whole bunch of news and remembering all words. Not like Kim Peek (see the case of Kim Peek). I guess I remember some stuff better and other stuff not.

More on Photographic Memory , a site I found useful to answer most of our question. Do you have photographic memory?

Inspiration

I was fiddling with bloggers today, and created a blog - http://top-rated-anime.blogspot.com after my http://places2experience.blogspot.com . Diversifying my journals! hahaha. (Yeah. I am sort of, FREE)

I remembered a book that I read last Sunday. The title was eye catching: When you do, do the opposite (or something like that).

I was only able to read until page 84. But throughout the 84 pages, it really open up my mind and thoughts. There was a segment that I watched in One Tree Hills. The younger brother saw a bird with broken wings. He wanted to help it. But elder brother took a stone and kill it, quoting: It is weak, so it must die.

Some may say it is cruel, other may see it as mercy. I see it as a sign of evolution.

All of us have dreams to chase. We were more often being taught to be modest, kind, and caring.
But what happen is, if we do not know how to balance them, we may be dragged down by the weaker ones.

I do not know how to write them in a better way, but I was talking about this with a friend of mine over msn yesterday. I quoted in msn: Biggest obstacle to success: Afraid to fail.
He said that it should be: Biggest obstacle to success: Ourselves

Me: True,But if somebody perceive it wrongly, they might just commit suicide
He: but then that person wont be strong in the first place..only the strong will survive - Darwinian theory states
He: To succeed, you must at least, have the will and the want to succeed
Me: u are right. But you have to remember, people out there are like others.
He: We have to help those too weak and downtrodden to help themselves. Give of your heart and without selfish reasons nor greed, and expect nothing back.

Once upon a time, I will agree with him truly. We have to help those who are weak. But now...my answer differs..

"If you have all the time in the world, please be my guest. If you allow the weaker to pull you down and delay your journey, I have no comment.
Those who are weak are always left behind. It is up to you to stay with them or proceed to success"

He quoted: The weak should be culled and destroyed, for they slow the strong down - Mashio Kikito.

The book actually change my perspective in 2 hours. Before this, I dont think I can debate with him with such strong words. (Haha). It is a wonder how the a book makes you believe.

But of all, no opinion is right or wrong. You determine if it is right or wrong.

And yes, I will definitely go back to MPH to get the book and author name again. (I am old. I intend to forget.*blek*)

Welcome to the year 2007! Happy New Year!!

Yes. It is the first day of 2007. The clock is ticking fast! Bye bye 2006! Let's turn 2007 better than before!

My last day of 2006 started off with Al, Mich, Eric and I having Nasi Lemak for lunch in Village Park, DU. We were repeatedly looking at the pictures from the christmas celebration. Yes. It was developed and out in 3R size, all 3 rolls. We cant stop admiring the pictures again and again, it was funny, eventhough the pictures were not really good (what do you expect from a RM65 cheap underwater camera?). But surprisingly, there were a lot of good shots. I must say, we definitely had fun the other day. Better than tonight!

New Year celebration tonight was not much different from the year before. Except, this time, we spend lesser. Last year, Michii, KH, Al and I (plus a few of Mich ex-collegues) celebrated in Lunar Bar, the bar on 34th floor of Pan Global. It was awesome then! We could see fireworks from Bukit Bintang, KLCC, Stadium, and other small places that had fireworks in KL, also LUNAR BAR's! It was one of the most superb view ever! From the top of the world! And then later jam for 2 hours to get back to DJ.

This year, Al and I went to 1Utama for countdown . One Utama was having concert(free admission) from North (Australian band), Apple, some taiwan singers, local singers like Gary, Serena C as host + a chinese host (dont know her name) + thousands of guests.

We had dinner with Joey, Joseph and Zac in Kluang station. CAnt believe that my last meal for 2006 was the Nasi Lemak from there + pineapple water. But it is alright. =D
We tried to watch the concert at the street (1 U closed the whole street for this countdown concert). It was packed with humans. We couldnt even go to the front. We end up watching from the back near the big screen.

After watching a few taiwanese singers performed, we went to Starbucks to chill. It was 9:30pm. Night was still young.

Joey, Joseph and Zac left at 10:30pm. both J left for friends bbq party in Old Klang road. Zac went to The curve. Al and I stayed until 11pm in starbucks.

We went up and down to look for a good spot to take pictures of the fireworks. 11:25pm, we drove out to the school nearby one utama. I suggested it as I thought it will be the best spot. Moreover, we can watched Ikano's fireworks as well!

We found a good spot in front of the school. And time ticks.

12:00am. Ikano's firework blast first. Followed by 1utama's 30 seconds later. IT WAS AWESOME! If only I know how to load the video clip over here. Al took alot alot of nice pictures. Here are they:

There were more. Enjoy more of the pictures on http://places2experience.blogspot.com. I loved them. I love them alot! Al taught me a few technics to catch them. Theorically, I know. Practically, ah-hah. I dont think so.

Today's celebration was purely fireworks. No water. No alcohol. No food. But I think I gain weight again this week. Tummy is rounder now. Shit. 1st New Year resolution: KEEP FIT!
Yes. Gotta go to the gym more often now. Work that flabs!

We didnt stuck in the jam for so long. since we were already out of 1U, we took the short cut back to DJ. My youngest brother, who was there with his friends as well, was still in the car park area waiting in line to go out when I reached home at 1am. Buahaha! Lucky us!

Welcome to the year 2007! Happy New Year!!

May all wish and dreams sails smoothly to us!

Christmas Countdown Celebration!

24th December 2006

A day to remember.

Al, Michii, Eric and I went to Bukit Jalil for indoor pool party cum foam party.
I let go my family's gathering on the day for this party. (Of course, I helped mum to buy and wrapped all pressies before I went off to DJ again on 24th evening).

Al was shopping for water guns in One U while I was down in Klang. He couldnt grab the cheapest water guns over there, and so I brought mum along to Giant Klang parade to buy the last 8 cheap guns. Yeah. 8. Initially, there were suppose to be 8 of us. 4 back out last minute, and 4 of us went.

Al bought underwater camera purposely for this ocassion. All 4 of us were excited.

We reached Bukit Jalil at 7pm. Party has already started. There were 3 different big pools inside, with alot of inflatables. One of the games were inflatable jet ski! It was new and awesome! more information on the party is at www.floatparty.com.
One thing about this party is, free food and drinks(F&N drinks only!). NO ALCOHOL & CIGGIE! It was pure fun with no influences from alcohol. Hehe. It was our first time to countdown for Christmas in the water, and with foams.

We were there until late 1:30am. And adjourned to Steven's corner in Old Klang Road. THe place is always fested with humans late at night. the biggest mamak stall I have ever seen so far!

I had so much fun. I made Al a nice handmade Christmas card in the middle of night until 5am.
He was so happy to receive it. He treasure it more than the expensive cards that I bought for him the last time. =)

I am happy.
